What did you think about Night Walker party in Osaka and so as the party at The Air in Tokyo?
Jerry Bouthier
“Playing Osaka was great - as ever. Shame the local authorities have clamped down on clubland. It's unbelievable the police can condemn so many businesses (clubs) with hardly any reason... Because the city had an exciting vibrant club scene that was truly unique. Very responsive crowd, which is of course always much fun. The gig at Air in tokyo was great. People at the front badly losing it although I was playing slow-y poppy electro-funk. I have to admit Japanese crowds are always very good to me. It's so inspiring to visit Jpan. I love it. I always recommend to all to visit such a fabulous country.”

Will you tell us about your forthcoming release, projects and plans?
Jerry Bouthier
“Our music project JBAG has really come together this year. We'll be touring more + more as a two-piece with a special dj/keyboard set up. We're very excited by the music around us and that's inspired us to do our own thing, which to me is basically mixing all the influences + music we like and come up with something fresh and relevant to today (although quite inspired by the 80s decade). There is also my label Continental which is going to kick off in 2012, we’re signing artists and friends, trying to build a little family of great acts… a bit like Kitsuné’s dj-friendly sister-label. Apart from that I'm preparing a new mix for Kitsune (‘Paris Fashion Week’ to come out before the summer), and later in 2012 another one for Bang Gang (100% - my fave remixes + tracks on the ace Australian label). More fashion shows for Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson and many others. Keeping busy :-)”

What do you think about Kill The Hero who did a remix for your debut single as JBAG and also TAKU-HERO as DJ? And also would tell us the Japanese artist you are good friends with and also the one you like?
Jerry Bouthier
“I have deejayed many times with Taku Hero. He's entertaining and has always struck me as very skilled on the decks. He’s really into the music and what he's doing. I liked the Kill The Hero remixes of JBAG's X Ray Sex, good complements to the package and the original mix… I’m hoping to release a Kill The Hero single on Continental too, so watch this space.”

If you have any particular favourite producers and label, will you tell us?
Jerry Bouthier
“There are so many... Reflex for ex is a great new French duo I've signed to Continental. I think they'll be big... This year I've loved the albums of Is Tropical, Munk, Holy Ghost!, Beat Connection... Really like Cecile, Tiger + Woods, Moonlight Matters... And some Magician, Aeropane, Oliver, Plastic Plates, Cassian, RAC tracks/remixes have been amazing…”

Something to say for party people in Osaka?
Jerry Bouthier
“I would say to Osaka clubbers: keep the faith and fight for your right to party. It's crazy one person can decide for thousands, millions even (how many inhabitants in Osaka?) and get clubs to close at 1am. In Europe there would be a revolution!”
